Founded in 1899, Poggio is a family run winery is located on the rolling hills between Langhe and Monferrato in Piemonte. The unique south-east facing hillside on which the vineyards are situated is called Collina Croja, meaning lean and impoverished, for the soils are particularly poor, sandy, well-drained limestone.
