Established in 1960 in Bertiolo, about 70 km northwest of Trieste,Cabert is a privately owned cellar created by a group of Noble families committed to the viticulture and winemaking in the Grave DOC area of Friuli. The name ‘Cabert’ is an acronym for the Cantina di Bertiolo winery.
The Cabert philosophy leans on a few fundamentals principles: 100% estate vineyards and only grapes grown therein, focus on low-yields and native varietals, and a judiciously modern winemaking protocol. The resulting lineup of classic varietal wines from Friuli-Venezia Giulia offers an unbeatable quality/price ratio.
