Situated in the South Eastern portion of Siciliy, along the Dirillo River Valley and bordered by the towns of Licodia Eubea and Iblea, the land of Giurfo is rich with history and tradition. The ideal climate, soil and exposure for the indigenous grapes of the area along with the long tradition of winemaking lend an air of authenticity to the wines of Terre di Giurfo.
Each wine is named using the Arabic words that came with the various occupancies and wars that Siciliy has been through. Kudyah, the first wine of the cantina, indicates the city of Licodia Eubea; Maskaria notes the harmony of the blend of Frappato and Nero d’Avola in the Cerasuolo di Vittoria; Belsito was chosen to honor the family owning the estate for more than a hundred years.
