The estate of Duca Carlo Guarini in the heart of Salento blends wine production with gastronomy and wine tourism through tastings and a farm-basesd food line. The family, descended from Ruggero Guarini, a Norman Knight of the 11th Century, has a thousand year old tradition of wine making in the region. Today the Guarinis still own and cultivate more than 1800 acres with mansions, masserie, and vineyards. Their heritage of wine making is steeped with tradition and is showcased throughout their line of products.
