Azienda Agricola Poggio

Founded in 1899, Poggio is a family run winery is located on the rolling hills between Langhe and Monferrato in Piemonte.  The unique south-east facing hillside on which the vineyards are situated is called Collina Croja, meaning lean and impoverished, for the soils are particularly poor, sandy, well-drained limestone.  This meager nourishment for the vines created wines of of complex character and expression of the terroir.

All the wines of Poggio are made exclusively from grapes grown on the property to ensure the highest of quality.  The traditional fermentation and aging in concrete tanks leaves the character of the grapes and soil to shine from the bottle.
